Free New Year's Things to Do with Kids at Dunedin Public Library!

Upcoming programs and information about the February book sale at the Dunedin Public Library.

The kids are out of school in Pinellas County until Jan. 7 — so we in the Youth Department at the Dunedin Public Library have scheduled a few things for them to do!

Register and come to Leah’s cartooning class on Friday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. Call 727-298-3080, Ext. 240 to register. No registration is needed for Sunday, Jan. 6, to come see the Shihan School of Survival martial arts presentation or Sunday Family Stories, both at 2 p.m. that day.

We look forward to a spring full of fun programming in the Youth Services Department and in the Adult Services section — stop by the Library for a schedule or go to our website at www.dunedingov.com and click on Government and Library. We have our programming displayed for you. Remember, everything is free at the Library!

Playground parents, you might have noticed and been thankful for the new section of fencing at the back of the Library playground.  We had it installed in December — thanks to director Phyllis Gorshe!

The Dunedin Friends of the Library are gearing up for the HUGE book sale we are having Thursday, Feb. 7 (members only), Friday, Feb. 8, Saturday, Feb. 9, and Sunday, Feb. 10 (we are staying open on Sunday to sell books for the first time since the book sale began.)

There will be a Book Drive on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the front of the Library. We will have some of our DYV (Dunedin Youth Volunteers) on hand to pick up the books from your cars! Bring books that are in good, sellable condition. We appreciate the donations we get from the public. The Dunedin Friends of the Library support all of our programming here at the Library with the sales of donated books!
