HUGE Annual Book Sale!

See what else is going on during the HUGE annual book sale at the Dunedin Public Library on February 7, 8, 9 and 10th!

Dunedin Public Library February 7, 8, 9 and 10!

This Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. some of our Dunedin Youth Volunteers will be stationed at the front of the Library to take your donations curbside for our Book Drive. Come to the Library this weekend to drop off gently used books for our HUGE book sale on February 7, 8, 9 and 10!  The Dunedin Friends of the Library have worked long and hard to set up this annual event. Then, the Friends will host a book sale opening on Thursday evening the 7th   for Friends of the Library members only (you can join that evening!).  Come join the Friends and preview all of our book treasures and buy some too! Friday and Saturday you can shop the book sale from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday for the first time, the Friends will be open in the afternoon for the final sale date. You will be amazed at how many books we have for sale and how reasonable our prices are! All book sales benefit the programming at the Library.

If you haven’t been yet, please come to Ms. Flossie’s Night Owl Story Time at the Library.  The next story time is Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m.  You will hear some good stories and make a cool craft — wear your pajamas if you want!

The Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas has been holding a very successful Conversation Club on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Rooms at the Library. Please call 298-3080, Ext. 242 for more information.

When you bring your family to the book sale, stop in the Story Time Room at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. and play “Candy Heart Bingo.”  Everyone is welcome to come and cover their numbers with candy and compete for delicious prizes!

Come buy some inexpensive, gently used books at our HUGE book sale and sit to read a while!

With our nations' urgent need to overhaul the health care system and each persons' need to deal withRead More increasing health care costs/decreasing quality of care, volunteering for SHINE could be part of the answer. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make postive changes for yourself and others. If, like me, you feel frustrated with the FL Legislature which seems to be working against us rather than for us; volunteering with organizations that educate the public in essential areas of concern can be an effective way to create grassroots changes. SHINE offers exceptional training and effectively updates it's volunteers regarding changes in the healthcare system. Sign up for thier training and you're sure to want to pass on what you learn to others.
