Week of June 18: What’s Going On at the Library?

Here's what's coming up for you at your library.

This week at we are fortunate to have a traveling trunk of Civil War memorabilia for our patrons to enjoy!  The teens will be exploring it on Monday night, June 18 at 6 p.m.  Call us at 727-298-3080, Ext. 240 to register so we can have plenty of snacks for everyone! The younger kids can explore this trunk on Saturday, June 23! You can come and peruse this old trunk full of “pieces of the past” with your care givers any time between 2 and 4 p.m.

Friday, June 22, we are hosting Grammy award winning song team, The Battersby Duo! They are very entertaining and amusing -  don’t miss them at 2 p.m. on Friday. We can only hold 200 people in our meeting rooms, so we give out free tickets beginning at 1:30PM that afternoon.  While you wait for the show to begin, you can watch our Netsmartz presentation in the Story Time Room at 1:30 p.m.– Internet safety is always good to learn about!

The Tuesdays at Two movie this week for adults is “Under the Boardwalk: The Monopoly Story,” at 2 p.m. on the 19. For the kids, we are showing “Madagascar” in the Story Time Room at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

Don’t forget to sign up for our Summer Reading programs — both kids and adults!  We have some fun weekly prizes for the kids and other incentives for the adults. As always, the Dunedin Friends of the Library sponsor all of our programming and everything is free at the Library!  The Friends Bookstore in our lobby funds our programming, so buy a few reasonably priced books while you are here.  Make the Dunedin Public Library part of your week every week this summer!  If you want to know what’s going on at all the libraries in the area, just go to www.pplc.us and click on the calendar, it will give you a daily update of all the library activities in Pinellas County for adults, teens and children.
