This week at the Dunedin Public Library is pretty quiet – no pun intended! The adults have Casual Scrabble on Monday evening at 6PM. Bring a board and join in! We will be closed for the Fourth of July on Wednesday. There are no story times or Music Mash this week. The Dunedin Public Library is open every day except for holidays.
The Adult Reference Department offers free computer tutoring on Wednesdays from 2PM-4PM. Call the Ref Desk at 727-298-3080 X255 to make yourself an appointment. Get better acquainted with your computer and what it can do!
We are also glad to show you our data bases and e books when you are in the library next time. I have shown many Moms our Mango Languages data base and how easy it is to access with your library card. Spend the summer learning a language with your kids – Mango has eighteen or more to choose from – it’s all free with your library card.
Did you know that the Dunedin Public Library can obtain materials for you from all over the country? And – there is no charge! The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system makes use of a worldwide online catalog (WorldCat). The Library can obtain books or photocopies of magazine, journal and newspaper articles. Our professional staff in the Reference Department will be happy to help you – either in person or over the telephone (X255). Please ask!
Visit the Dunedin Public Library every week this summer to avoid having your kids lose some of the valuable tools they learned all year at school – also known as the “summer slide.” Just coming in to the Library and getting a book to read will help them avoid the summer slide!
