GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview March 3-6

With a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants in the area, there's no reason to spend the weekend at home. We've put together a list of fun things to do in the Dunedin area.

It’s Thursday and the weekend’s just around the corner. If you’re still stumped on what to do, we’ve got some great ideas.

Where/When: Thursday night from 9 p.m. - midnight at Got Wine & More, 520 Douglas Ave.

Why Go: Do you play an instrument? Join musician Bob Voegeli for an exciting late night jam session. Experienced or novice, you'll have fun playing a variety of tunes with the band and meet new people at the Got Wine & More neighborhood hangout.

 Where/When: Pioneer Park, 420 Main St. Friday and Saturday at 8 a.m.

Why Go: Need to get a little shopping done before the weekend? This outdoor market focuses on organic products that promote eco-friendly living. Among a variety of locally grown produce and specialty food items, you'll also find vendors offering all-natural herbs, Crafts and beauty products.

Price: Prices vary.

ANTIQUES FAIR AND CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Where/When:  Main Street Dunedin, 271 Main St. Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Why Go:  Head out to Main Street this weekend for the city's Spring Antiques Show. Browse an eclectic mix of timeless items from local collectors and hobbyists. In addition, the event will feature a classic car show, with decades old vehicles in pristine condition on display.

Price: Free!

Where/When:  Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, 373 Douglas Ave. Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

Why Go:  Take the family out to the ball game this weekend as two major league teams go head to head on the diamond.  See the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Detroit Tigers in this Spring training match.

Price: $15 to $27.

TASTE OF DUNEDIN FESTIVAL

Where/When: Downtown, Main Street. Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go:  The Dunedin Merchants Association presents the 3rd Annual Taste of Dunedin. The public is invited to sample and purchase food and drinks from a wide selections of local restaurants and specialty food vendors.

Price: Free admission, food and drink prices vary.
