How to benefit from Affordable Care Act

Here are some important facts that may help you, or a friend or family member:

1) All Affordable Care Act plans are “Guaranteed Issue” meaning everyone qualifies regardless of medical history.

2) Depending on your income it is quite possible you may qualify for significant help paying your premiums with a federal monthly tax credit.  I have many clients who are getting excellent $500+ plans for less than $2.00.

3) There is a penalty of $95 or 1% of your income if you do not have an insurance plan this year.  The penalty increases next year.

4) March 31 is the deadline to get a plan for the rest of 2014.  Don’t wait to the last minute because it is likely the system will overload and you will not get a plan.  You have till March 15 to get an April 1 start date, and March 31 to get a May 1 start date.

I am certified with all companies and plans, both Affordable Care Act and Medicare.  The reason is so I can objectively evaluate for you what is the best plan, and the best deal for your needs.  In just the last few years I have helped over 500 clients find the best plan for their needs.
