Reflexology can help aide your weight loss naturally.

When it comes to weight loss, there are many different methods out there.  Some of the methods of weight loss that people consider include medicinal treatment such as prescription drugs and surgery.  Before you opt for these invasive treatments, there are others things that you can consider.  When you want to take a natural approach to loss, you may want to learn more about reflexology.  While reflexology does not mean that you don’t have to watch what foods you consume and add exercise into your lifestyle, it can help to aide your weight loss effectively. Foot reflexology is one of the best things that you can when it comes to natural weight loss. Before you consider other options, make sure that you learn more about this. The feet are full of nerve endings, and studies show that many points in your feet are directly related to certain functions and processes in your body. For instance, there a certain points on your feet that are related to thyroid function and others are related to pituitary gland function.  These are both very important when it comes to losing weight naturally and effectively.  In fact, many medicines that are prescribed for weight loss target these areas.   A well trained reflexologist will know the areas that need to be concentrated on when it comes to foot reflexology. One of the best areas to focus on when it comes to losing weight is mid way down the left foot under the fourth toe.  This area targets the spleen, which an organ that helps to decrease your appetite. When a reflexologist focuses on this area of the foot, they are able to providenourishment to the spleen reflex, which can result in decrease in appetite. Other areas of focus include the kidney and pancreas.  These organs help in digestion of food, and when they are working at their full capabilities they can help your body absorb the nutrients that are needed. Therefore, a trained reflexologist will want to work on the areas of your feet that stimulate your kidneys and pancreas to work more efficiently. (This article was written by Lauren Slade, Founder of the Universal College of Reflexology)
