Authorities: $13 in Toiletries Cost Dunedin Shoplifter Jail Time

A young Dunedin man charged with shoplifting $13 in toiletries from a Palm Harbor Walmart landed in jail on two felony charges of violation of probation and $5,100 bond.

A Dunedin man is back in jail on felony charges after shoplifting $13 worth of toiletries, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's arrest records.

Cody James Hudson, 19, was caught with toiletry items from a Palm Harbor Walmart, 35404 U.S. Highway 19 N, around 2 p.m. on Nov. 2.

He had a pack of Schick razors, an Oral B tooth brush, and a bottle of conditioner, according to arrest records. The merchandise is valued at $13.56.

Pinellas arrest records state Hudson did not pay for the items.

He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petty shoplifting and two felony counts of violation of a three-year probation for possession of cocaine and burglary in Pasco County.

Hudson was being held in Pinellas County Jail and bonded out on $5,100.
