Crews Fighting Fire on Bayshore Boulevard

The fire is in the Knot On Main Street antiques and furniture shop near the Dunedin Country Club.

Crews are fighting a fire at a Bayshore Boulevard antiques and furniture store.

Sixteeen fire vehicles from the Dunedin, Clearwater, East Lake and Palm Habor fire departments responded to a multi-alarm fire shortly before 4 p.m. at , 2428 Bayshore Blvd., Dunedin Fire Department spokeswoman Kelly Intzes said. When crews arrived, flames were shooting from the building, she said.

The owner of Knot On Main Street was evaluated for smoke inhalation, and one person was treated for injuries related to the use of a fire extinguisher. No other injuries have been reported in the fire.

The business is in a shopping center with retailer , the  and a pet grooming business. 

The fire started at the northwest corner of the shopping center, Intzes said. A firewall contained the flames to Knot On Main Street, but Find Your Peace is likely to have smoke damage, she said.

The building looks completely gutted from the outside. Anna Sweetnam, who owns the adjoining building, said a problematic air-conditiong unit on the northwest end of the shopping center may be to blame. She dropped what she was doing at another shop she owns in Ozona when she found out about the fire.
