Deputies: Woman Pawns Diamonds from Ex-Husband's Ring

Sandra Colleen Pierce, 47, of Dunedin is alleged to have removed the diamonds from her ex-husband's ring so she could keep the 14-karat gold band, Pinellas County Sheriff's arrest records indicate.

A Dunedin woman was arrested last week for allegedly pawning the diamonds out of her ex-husband's ring, authorities report.

Sandra Colleen Pierce, 47, of the 400 block of Marjon Avenue, is accused of taking her ex-husband's 14-karat gold slant set ring, which had three diamonds, to Florida Gold & Loan on Dec. 5, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies.

Pinellas County arrest records indicate that she signed pawn shop papers that falsely asserted she was the rightful owner of the ring.

Pierce, who lives in the same household as her ex-husband, had the pawn shop remove the diamonds from its mounts so she could keep the ring, according arrest records.

The ring was valued at $2,500.
