Dunedin Fire Department Helps Put Out House Fire

With assistance from the Clearwater Fire and Rescue, Dunedin firefighters put out a house fire in unincorporated PInellas County.

Dunedin firefighters helped extinguish a house fire in unincorporated Pinellas County Tuesday night, saving the home.

Dunedin firefighters arrived on scene to a working fire at 2033 Ridgecrest Dr., and quickly got the blaze under control by ventilating and attacking the fire. The home was unoccupied at the time.

After investigating the scene following the fire, Dunedin fire marshal Bill McElligott determined the fire was centered to the kitchen of the single family home, specifically unattended cooking materials on a stovetop that ignited while the family left for a walk.
