Dunedin Teen's Body Found in St. Pete Canal

Detectives said they do not believe death of the 17-year-old boy was suspicious in nature.

Detectives have identified a body found in a St. Petersburg canal as that of a 17-year-old Dunedin boy.

Manuel Vivanco's body may have been in the water for about two days by the time a passerby found it Monday night in a canal on the south side of the Jacaranda Retirement Home, 4250 56th St. N., the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies say Vivanco's death is not suspicious in nature.
