Honeymoon Island Issues 'High Hazard' Warning

Red flags warn visitors of dangerous water conditions at Honeymoon Island State Park. The ferry is closed Thursday until weather conditions improve.

Andrea may be storming past Dunedin, but she's making her presence known at Honeymoon Island State Park.

Red flags, denoting a "high hazard" warning, at the entrance of the park serve to caution visitors of dangerous conditions.

The park is open, but visitors are advised not to get into the water because of high surf and strong currents.

The Caladesi Island Ferry service from Honeymoon Island is closed until further notice.
