Shove Down Steps Leads to Permanent Injuries, Felony Charge

A man is charged with aggravated battery after allegedly pushing his wife down some stairs during a domestic dispute that left her bloody on Sept. 28.

A Dunedin man was arrested and charged with battery after allegedly pushing his soon-to-be ex-wife down some stairs as she was trying to move out, according to deputies.

Sean McQueeny, 61, of Garrison Road, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol the night of Sept. 28 when he denied his wife re-entry into the house as she attempted to move her belongings out, deputies say.

The two are in the process of a divorce, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's records.

Deputies say McQueeny blocked the doorway between the house and the garage and told her "You're not coming back in," then pushed her down a couple of steps around 10:15 p.m.

She sustained a cut to her forehead, which bled profusely, deputies said. The report stated her injury would likely scar, and she also sustained significant injuries to her rib and hip.
