Marble Vandal Hits Dunedin

Incidents in Dunedin are among 19 cases the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking for help catching suspects in 19 vandalism cases in which marbles were shot at the windows of businesses or vehicles.

Several of the crimes occurred in Dunedin with some in Clearwater and Palm Harbor. Detectives say the suspects committed the crimes during the overnight hours beginning Aug. 5. The most recent incident occurred overnight on Nov. 19.

In most cases, a glass marble or marbles were found in the area. Detectives say the suspects may be using a slingshot or paintball type gun to shoot the marbles.
