Mivhael Graziano, 24, who was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a dump truck in the early morning hours of April 3, died today of his injuries at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, reports BayNews9.com.
It is just the lastest episode in the tortured Graziano family saga.
In 2007, Michael's brother John Graziano, a decorated Marine, was critically injured in a crash on Clearwater's Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. while a passenger in a car driving by Nick Bollea, son of famed professional wrestler Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea), lost control on the rain-slicked street and hit a palm tree.
John Graziano suffered a severe brain injury in the accident and was hospitalized for two years and is being taken care of currently by his mother Debra Graziano.
Michael Graziano was a passenger in a Volvo driven by Cameron Bosley, 24, also of Dunedin, when just east of 66th St. North on Ulmerton Road in Largo, traveling westbound at a high rate of speed per the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), attempted to pass a dump truck when the Volvo crashed into the back of the dump truck at roughly 2:30 a.m. on April 3.
Both men were transported to Bayfront Medical Center.
Bosley was arrested in Pinellas County in 2005 on charges of reckless driving, fleeing or eluding law enforcement at a high speed, and driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to records from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
As a result of Graziano's death, FHP has turned the matter over to its traffic homicide unit for investigation. Toxicology, autopsy and other investigative matters are pending. No charges have been filed as of yet. FHP considers the case open.
Just last year, the father of the Graziano family, Ed Graziano, pleaded no contest in an attempt to hire an undercover detective, posing as a hit man, for $2,100 and a pizza gift card, per the Tampa Tribune, to murder his wife Debra. Ed Graziano is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
