Update: Search For Dunedin Causeway Swimmer Lifted

The female swimming near 444 North Paula Dr. did not return from the water early Friday morning, prompting Pinellas County Sheriff rescuers to launch a search and rescue operation.

Search and rescue operations are lifted for a swimmer who went missing off of Dunedin Causeway early Friday morning.

The female swimmer was located "unharmed and alert" within 90 minutes of a 6 a.m. news release announcing that a search and rescue mission was underway, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reports.

The female swimming near 444 North Paula Dr. did not return from the water early Friday morning, prompting rescuers to launch a search and rescue operation.

The name of the swimmer has not been released.
