Man Thrown from Harley Struck Twice, Police Seek Witnesses

A Dunedin motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle and was hit by two vehicles in Tarpon Springs early Monday morning. Police say one of the drivers who hit the motorcyclist never stopped.

A Dunedin motorcyclist was seriously injured on U.S. 19 early Monday morning, and authorities are looking for a driver who fled the scene.

Investigators say that Charles Richard Lloyd, 51, of Dunedin was driving north on a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle just north of Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs when he lost control while in the lefthand lane at 4:16 a.m.

Lloyd's motorcycle was then rear-ended by a white 1999 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Adriana Starr Ossa of Palm Harbor. The impact caused Lloyd to be thrown from his motorcycle. He was then struck by the Camaro and a second vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. 19. Tarpon Springs Police say the second vehicle that hit Lloyd continued on U.S. 19 and did not stop.
