Woman Tasered Outside Dunedin Assisted Living Facility

Christine Chase, 46, ran away when deputies tried to arrest her at a Dunedin assisted living facility, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

A woman was Tasered and then arrested by a deputy outside an assisted living facility in Dunedin, a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said.

Two Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies went to the Nurses Helping Hands, 1585 Curlew Road, to serve an arrest warrant for Christine Chase, 46, of Palm Harbor on Friday afternoon.

Chase was wanted for two counts of obtaining property in return for a worthless check, according to a Pinellas County Jail charge report.

Deputies learned that Chase was visiting someone at the assisted living facility, so they went there to arrest her at around 2 p.m on Feb. 8. When they approached, she bolted, running outside the assisted living facility. The deputies chased her, but she reportedly resisted and was Tasered.

Deputies arrested her and took her to the Pinellas County Jail, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Chase was charged with resisting an officer without violence and two counts of obtaining property in return for a worthless check.
