Voters are being asked to submit questions for the candidates in advance of the forum at:hsmithconsulsv@aol.com. Open to the public, seating is limited to 200. According to Harvey Smith, Chairman and forum organizer, this is the first time a non-partisan candidate forum for sheriff has been held in Pinellas County. “Given the size and scope of the sheriff’s office,” said Smith, “it’s important to have voters weigh in on key issues that impact the community when shrinking budgets are challenged by crime, drug use and other law enforcement issues.”
