New Florida Laws: Pokey Drivers, Bong Ban, Red Light Camera Changes

A host of new laws go into effect July 1.

Tired of getting stuck behind slow drivers in the fast lane?

Florida Legislators and Gov. Rick Scott are. That’s why a new law that makes it illegal to drive slow in the fast lane joins a host of other new rules that went into effect on July 1.

The new laws range from a ban on bong sales for use to smoke illegal drugs to changes in red light camera rules. Florida high school graduation standards are also getting tougher, according to The Tampa TribuneIt also becomes illegal to dye baby rabbits and chickens and it’s now tougher for law enforcement agencies to use drones, according to the Herald Tribune.
