Primary Voter Registration Deadline is Today

Florida is a "closed primary" state, which means voters must be registered members of a political party to vote for that party's candidate.

Today is the registration deadline for voters who wish to cast a ballot in Florida's upcoming Presidential Preference Primary.

Registrations for new voters and change of party registrations must either be mailed and must bear today's postmark (Jan. 3) or registrations can be delivered to any elections office by 5 p.m.
