Presidental Challenge

The President just challenged the House to get on board withan extension of the middle class tax cuts right now! That would insure that 98% of the people can breathe a sigh of relief. With Christmas looming it would be nice to know you can spend a little more on gifts.  If they (the GOP) care about the middle class like they have been saying they are, then they need to act! He is ready to sign it. Lets see how long it takes the House to bring it to the floor. This would be one item that really don’t need to be negotiated up to the eleventh hour, with the rest of the "$64 billion in automatic spending cuts" that will take place on Jan 1st. If they stall or come up with some Mickey Mouse excuse we need to flood them with e-mails and phone calls. Time to standup and demand they work for us!

Right on brother, Bobby. Power to the people right now. We as a people need to stay on our legislator's cases and consistently let them know how we wish to be represented. Oh, due to redistricting, our Forida State Representative for Safey Harbor is now John Grant(R) who also represents part of Hillsborough and has his district office in Carrolwood. Give him a call and let him know we are his new bosses!

"Power to the people right now" in the 60's they didn't take that phrase seriously coming from a bunch of rag tag long hairs. Bet they didn't count on us growing up and becoming more of pain in the backside. John Grant huh, I will look him up I have Sen Nelson on speed dial I'm not shy when it comes to expressing myself to politicians. Some might even say I'm outspoken..ya think??

The people need to contact Rep. Gus Bilirakis because he is our representative in the House of Representatives in Washington DC. We don't want him siding with John Boehner and Republicans who favor extending the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. The wealthy certainly don't need another tax break. Boehner plans to avoid the "fiscal cliff" by eliminating the middle class safety while not asking the wealthiest to pay one dollar more. Tell Rep. Gus Bilirakis to support the middle class and not the rich millionaires who donate greatly to all of the Republican campaigns. You can contact his local office at 727-773-2871. You can also e-mail him through his web site at http://bilirakis.house.gov/.
