Seminar: Medicare Health and Prescription-Drug Plans

Volunteers from the SHINE (Serving Health Needs of Elders) program will be at the library to offer free seminars on Medicare health and prescription-drug plans in advance of Medicare's annual election period. This period (Oct. 15 through Dec. 7) is the only time seniors can change their Medicare health and prescription-drug plans until next year.

Here is the seminar schedule:

Sept. 21: Medicare 101
Oct. 5: Medicare Advantage Plans
Oct. 12: Prescription Drug Plans

SHINE volunteers also are available for free individual insurance counseling (evaluating medications a person uses, providers he or she wants to use, and other factors) year-round at the library. Call the number below for an appointment.
