Five Things to Know Today

Here are Five Things to Know Today for Dunedin residents for Friday, Oct. 21. Yay, we made it to the weekend!

Yay, we've made it to the weekend! Here are Five Things to Know Today for Dunedin residents for Friday, Oct. 21.

1) Weather: Per the National Weather Service today should be a very pleasant day. Though it will be jacket weather-chilly when you wake up with the highs in the upper 50s, it should warm up to the low 60s as you head to work with a high of 72 under sunny skies and mild breezes. Tonight will be good football weather albeit nippy with a low of 57 under clear skies.

2) Cheap gas: Per GasBuddy.com, early this morning gas was recorded at Dodge's Store at 466 Patricia Ave., and Rally located at 1621 Main St. for $3.35 a gallon. The price at Dodge's Store is for cash-only purchases.

The new restaurant will be located at the old KFC location at Countryside Mall, 2537 Countryside Blvd. Applications are accepted from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today. Chipotle needs cashiers, prep and grill cooks

4) North Pinellas Pride: A week of festivities for alternative lifestyles continues tonight for North Pinellas Pride Week. 5) Friday night lights: If you didn't know it's football season, the weather is a tip off. With temperatures expected to drop into the 50s tonight under clear skies, it screams fall football weather. While the Dunedin Falcons have the weekend off, there are several games within a quick drive. Countryside plays at Clearwater and Osceola plays at Tarpon Springs but the best game of the night may be two of the better private schools in the state, Berkeley Prep at Clearwater Central Catholic. If you are even a casual fan who cannot afford a Tampa Bay Bucs game, high school football is an incredible bargain, all playing for the love of the game and perhaps a college scholarship. All kickoffs at 7:30 p.m.
