Another D-Jay Named Florida State League Player Of The Week

D-Jays multi-positional player Justin Jackson becomes second Jay in as many weeks to earn the honor.

Justin Jackson was named Florida State League positional player of the week (May 16 through 22).

This is the second consecutive week a member of the D-Jays has won this title. last week's recipient.

Jackson, who was promoted to AA New Hampshire earlier in the year, only to be returned to Dunedin, spends most of the time in the outfield, but Manager Clayton McCullough has played him in the infield as well.

During this past week, the Asheville, N.C., native had four multi-hit games, inlcuding a 4-6 night in which he also scored three runs. 

Jackson, 22, hit his third home run in the week, scored 10 runs and raised his batting average to .319.

The FSL pitcher of the week was the Stone Crabs' Kyle Lobstein. Lobstein was the scheduled starter for Charlotte last night. Lobstein won the award with a masterful one-hit performance in Clearwater. He gave up a lead-off double to Jiwan James and did not relinquish another hit for seven complete innings.
