Athlete Spotlight: Falcons Relay Runner Loves the Reward of the Finish Line

Position/Event: 800-meter relay, open 800-meter, 400-meter relay and open 400-meter

Key to Awesomeness: Trishana is one of Dunedin High's fastest girls on the track and field team. She is the anchor leg on both the 800 and 400 relay teams. She is also very involved in Interact Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Key Club.

When did you get started in track?

"Middle school. At , I ran the open 800-meter, the 400-meter and the 100-meter, always as the anchor leg."

What is your favorite thing about track?

"Feeling the reward of finishing a race. You think to yourself, 'I finished.' Also it’s a good way to keep in shape."

What do you consider your career highlight?

"Qualifying for regionals as a freshman in the 4x400-meter relay. Yes, I was the anchor."

What is the most difficult thing about your sport?

"The heat."

 What are your plans for college?

"I am looking into The University of Miami and UF. I definitely want to run in college."
