Key to Awesomeness: Ashley is the Falcons' No. 1 pitcher and one of the most productive hitters. She bats cleanup for the team.

When did you get started in softball?

When I was a 7-year-old kid, my dad got me involved in little league. I played travel ball with AAU for eight years before making the DHS softball team as a freshman.

What is your favorite thing about softball?

Making friends.

What do you consider your career highlight?

Last year, in one game versus Clearwater, I struck out 20 batters.

What is the most difficult thing about your sport?

The stress of expectations.

What are your plans for college?

I am already on scholarship to pitch at St. Leo University.
