Cubs Wait 'Til Ninth to Pounce on Jays
John Talley hits his third homer in three games but Jays lose 7-4.
The Daytona Cubs rallied from two runs down in the ninth to defeat the D-Jays 7-4 on Saturday (Aug. 27).
First baseman John Talley's third homer in the past three games, a two-run blast, put the Jays up 2-1.
Brad McElroy singled in a run during the fifth and then scored after doubling in the seventh. McElroy, a London, Ontario native, is batting .323 since the All-Star break with 30 stolen bases while being thrown out just three times.

Matt Daly, who saved 31 games for the D-Jays in 2010, faced four batters in the ninth and allowed the go-ahead runs, which was capped by Cubs second baseman Logan Watkins. He hit his fifth homer of the season with one man on board.
On Deck: The D-Jays and Cubs continue their four-game series on today (Aug. 28). First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.
