Molina keeps batters off balance by changing his velocity. His fastball was clocked at 93 mph and his change up at 79 mph. Mix in a curve and a two-seam fastball and the Stone Crabs were unable to touch him. Molina also finished with 10 strikeouts, of which three were against the league's leading hitter Hak-Ju Lee

The D-Jays sent 11 men to the plate in the second inning, scoring seven runs. Brian Van Kirk singled to lead off the inning and singled again as the 10th batter of the inning.

With Molina on the bench, the Charlotte Stone Crabs went to work on the Jays relievers. They scored four in the seventh and four more in the ninth, leaving the go ahead run stranded at second.

D-Jays shortstop Ryan Goins had three doubles on the night to give him 13 on the season. He leads the Jays in that category.

The D-Jays (26-21) head on the road for a four-game series with the St. Lucie Mets (26-21).

FROM AA NEW HAMPHSIRE: Henderson Alvarez made his second impressive start. Alvarez, who made two starts for the D-Jays this year, gave up only one run on six hits in six complete innings.
