He allowed just one earned run through his first 8.2 innings of work and had a 6.2 inning scoreless streak through his first seven outings in May. McFarland has gone 6-for-6 in saves and allowed just one run in eight home innings.
  • Jesse Hernandez of Grand Rapids, MI, posted a 2.60 ERA in his 10 starts (ranked seventh in the league). Opponents are hitting just .240 against Hernandez. He has allowed exactly one earned run in each of his last three starts.

Right-handers haven't fared much better. They've hit .227 against him. Davis has accumulated 21 strikeouts and seven walks and held opponents to a .190 batting average.
