Dunedin Youth Sailing Program Expands

The program expanded from 24 to 30 students and it has hired another instructor.

The Dunedin Youth Sailing Association program is set to expand, according to the organization. 

Dunedin Youth Sailing is expanding 24 to 30 children and have added a third certified instructor, Andrew Sumpton, who will now be the new coach for the intermediate division. 

In a news release, the association said the changes began March 10.

"DYSA is a Sunday afternoon Around the Buoys sailboat racing program for children ages 8-16 and their motto is " No child left behind".

They have two nine week sessions a year one in the spring and one in the fall; they sail out of The City of Dunedin Municipal Marina."
