Quilt Exhibits and Silent Auction at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center

The Dunedin Arts Center presents two exhibits featuring quilts, as well as a silent auction that runs through the exhibition.

"New Quilts from an Old Favorite 2010: Sunflower" features 18 finalist and winning quilts from a challenge issued by the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Ky., to create original quilts based on this classic pattern. The quilters come from 11 states and Canada.

"Portals" features quilts from the Tampa Bay area quilt guild IQ Quilters, with innovative designs, embellishments, mixed materials and media.

Each of the IQ Quilters have donated small quilts to the silent auction that runs until the exhibit's end on Aug. 21. The proceeds will benefit educational programs at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center.
