Falcons Digest: Baseball Takes On Seminole Tonight

A wrap-up of Dunedin High School athletics.

Varsity Baseball

The Falcons are coming off a 15-0 thrashing of East Lake last Tuesday.

The Dunedin boys have won eight in a row and stand at 12-1 on the year. They were in a pitching duel with Countryside Tuesday until the sixth inning when they jumped on Countryside’s relief pitcher. Andrew Brodbeck drove in two and Mike Clarkson drove in one run. The Falcons dropped four runs on the Cougars in the top of the sixth.

Senior was lights out, not allowing a single run and only five hits. He struck out nine batters in his seven innings of work including two if the three outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to end the game.

The Falcons play at Seminole to take on the Warhawks on tonight at 7 p.m.

Varsity Softball

The Lady Falcons pounded Largo on Tuesday night to the tune of 18-1 in five innings. Sophomore Alley Williams pitched a mean five innings, in which she fanned four and only gave up one run.

Freshman shortstop Tiana Hill went three-for-three at the plate and Junior Erin Nickisher went two-for-two with a double and a homerun. She also drove in six runs.

Boys Tennis

The Falcons traveled to Seminole to take on the Warhawks. They pulled out a tough win 5-2.

Girls Tennis

The Lady Falcons traveled to Seminole Tuesday night and were blanked by The Warhawks 0-7.
