Both defenses dominated the first quarter with a 37-yard field goal by Falcons senior Theodore Aloizakis. He provided the only scoring.

In the second quarter the offenses gained control of the game. The Falcons would reply to Blake's touchdowns with two of their own on the following drives.

A 45-yard run from quarterback Anthony Diviney would set up a short touchdown run for Shaquille Dixon on the first drive. Dixon did it all himself on the next touchdown. He scored from the 5-yard line after a huge fourth-and-one play.

The Yellow Jackets regained the lead midway through the third quarter when their sensational quarterback Zain Gilmore scrambled behind the line of scrimmage from one side of the field to the other before finding his receiver in the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown pass.

The Falcons defense anchored by the — Kyle Goodnow, Yianni Marangos, Dylan Gilroy, and Brenton Allen — shut the Yellow Jackets out for the remainder of the game.

The winning drive started early in the fourth quarter and ended with another 37-yard field goal from Aloizakis.

The Falcons (1-2) continue to be road warriors traveling to Lakewood next week before playing their first home game on Sept. 30 against Gibbs.
