Game Report: Aaron Hill Leads D-Jays

Aaron Hill the 7-year veteran of the Toronto Blue Jays is expected to play this weekend against Clearwater.

Aaron Hill last played for the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2003 when he hit .286 in 32 games. He improved his lifetime D-Jays average with a 1 for 3 night at the plate during the Thursday's game against the Brevard County Manatees. Hill scored twice and knocked in the winning run with an RBI single in the eighth, giving the D-Jays a 3-1 win and improving their record to 13-15. This win completed a three-game sweep of the Manatees.

With the American League's top hitter Jose Bautista nursing an injury and the Toronto Blue Jays slipping further below .500, it becomes more important every day to get Hill healthy.

Once again the D-Jays starting pitching was very impressive. However, Deck McGuire was matched pitch for pitch with Manatees starter Nick Bucci. Both pitchers have put up superb numbers this year and they continued that this evening creating a real pitchers duel.
