Goins Returns With A Bang
Asher Wojciechowski throws seven scoreless innings as D-Jays win opener with Palm Beach 6-1.
Ryan Goins made his presence known on Saturday, leading the D-Jays to a 6-1 win in Palm Beach.
The D-Jays short-stop, who returned to the line-up after being out since May 29, homered (his second of the season) in the fifth to give the Jays a 1-0 lead. In the seventh he tripled and scored giving the Jays a four-run lead.
The 23-year-old from Round Rock, Texas missed more than a month of the season with back problems.

Brad Glenn (with 17 home runs) and Brian Van Kirk (6) each hit two-run homers to support the outstanding four-hit shut-out pitching of Asher Wojciechowski.
Wojciechowski's numbers in his last four outings have been horrible to say the least, however Saturday's performance is certainly a step in the right direction.

After being rained out on Friday, the Jays (9-6) and Cardinals (9-7) will play a doubleheader on Sunday (July 10).
