Jays Up 7, Fall to Big Manatees Rally

D-Jays slam three homers in an 8-7 extra-inning loss to to the Brevard County Manatees.

In his seventh start, Drew Hutchison looked like he would pick up his fourth D-Jays victory of the season Wednesday (Aug. 3).

The Lakeland native left the game in the seventh with a 7-0 lead, however the Brevard County Manatees would storm back and score six that inning, and then one in the eighth to tie the game. A Manatees extra-inning run in the 10th would seal the Jays' 8-7 loss.

Hutchison, 20, worked six scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits and struck out eight while walking just one.
