No Medals For Dunedin Wrestlers At States

Falcons' foursome comes away empty handed from The Lakeland Center.

LAKELAND — The Dunedin Falcons' foursome won't be coming home with any medals from the state wrestling tournament.

Dunedin's contingent failed to finish among the top six in their weight classes at this weekend's FHSAA competition, held at The Lakeland Center.

Senior , who competed in the 140-pound weight class, posted a 2-2 record but failed to capture a medal Saturday after falling to Cody McKinnon of Largo on the second day of action.

His teammate, 160-pound junior , also went 2-2, but lost to Melbourne's Nick Spinazzola in the consolation round for the Falcons, who compete in Class 2A.

Dunedin senior finished 2-2 at 171 pounds and missed the medal round. Junior Robert Luth, a 215-pounder, went 1-2, losing in the consolation round.
