Varsity Wrestling Defends District Title Saturday

Austin Prince faces Wiregrass Ranch's Elliot Morales in an anticipated match up.

Looking ahead: The Falcons defend their district title Saturday, Feb. 5, at Dunedin High School. They face Mitchell, River Ridge, Sunlake, Tarpon Springs, Wiregrass Ranch and Zephyrhills. The biggest threat to The Falcons district champion title is Wiregrass Ranch and Sunlake.

Anticipated matchup: Wiregrass Ranch’s Elliot Morales faces Dunedin’s Austin Prince in the 140-pound class.

Other Falcons to watch:

  • Kyle Goodnow (160 pounds),
  • Shaun Shakoor (112 pounds),
  • Kane Plate (135 pounds), and
  • RJ Luth (215 pounds).

Admission is $6 per session, $5 if more than one session. The first round is at 12:30 p.m. and the finals at 5:30 p.m.

Varsity Boys' Basketball

Looking ahead: Varsity basketball enters district play Feb. 8 at Eastlake High School. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

Last game’s results: The 0-18 Falcons came up short in their effort against St. Petersburg High. The Falcons outscored St. Pete in the fourth quarter but fell 39-44 to end the regular season.
