July Fourth Celebrations in Pinellas County

Here are some great events that are happening this 4th of July in Pinellas County.

1. Dunedin's Hometown USA: The City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department and the Dunedin Blue Jays will host the annual Dunedin Hometown USA event in partnership with Budweiser, featuring a game against the Daytona Cubs and a concert with fireworks.

  • When: Gates open at 3:15 p.m., game begins at 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 4
  • Where: , 373 Douglas Ave. 
  • How much: Free to attend. The Jolley Trolley will offer free rides on the 4th of July.

2. Kiwanis Midnight Run: Get active this Indepedence Day. The previous 32 midnight runs have raised more than $595,000 for the Kiwanis clubs of Dunedin and Top of the Bay community service activities. Between 2,200 and 2,800 runners are expected at this event. 

  • When: Race night activities start at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 3
  • Where: Causeway Plaza, 2602 Bayshore Blvd. 
  • How much: $15-$50

3. Safety Harbor 4th of July Parade: Make sure you wear your red, white and blue for the American Legion Auxilliary Main Street Parade. Following the parade, there will be a patriotic ceremony and live music at the gazebo at John Wilson Park.

  • When: 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 4 
  • Where: Downtown Safety Harbor, Main Street
  • How much: Free

4. Safety Harbor July 4th Celebration: Bring the whole family out for a July 4th Celebration, Safety Harbor style. There will be activities for kids, live 
entertainment, food vendors and plenty of fun for the entire whole family.

  • When: 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 4
  • Where: Safety Harbor Marina, 110 South Blvd.
  • How much: Free to attend.

5. : Enjoy food, entertainment and activities for all ages, followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. No alcohol, coolers, pets, personal fireworks, or sparklers will be allowed at this family-friendly event.

  • When: 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 4
  • Where: , 101 Central Park Dr., Largo
  • How much: Free to attend. On-site parking $5. Park and walk available from and .

6. Clearwater Celebrates America: Live music from The Mostly Pops Orchestra and The Wilsons will begin at 7:30 p.m. Children's activities from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., including games, face painting, and a mascot parade. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Food and beverage vendors will be present.

  • When: 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 4
  • Where: , 301 Drew St., Clearwater
  • How much: Free to attend. Bring cash for activities, food, and drinks.

7. 4th of July Celebration Cruise: Yacht StarShip will have a special cruise that will include a buffet with traditional American favorites, open bar, entertainment, and fireworks choreographed to patriotic music. Dress code is resort casual.

  • When: 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 4
  • Where: , 25 Causeway Blvd., Slip #55, Clearwater
  • How much: $89.95 adults, $59.95 children
