Love, Hope & Pizza

Hungry Howie’s kicked off its fifth annual Love, Hope & Pizza campaign in October, with the goal of raising $300,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). A recipient of Charity Navigator’s highest four-star rating for nine consecutive years, NBCF provides women Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow® through its National Mammography ProgramBeyond The Shock®Early Detection PlanMyNBCF online support community, and breast cancer research programs.

Hungry Howie’s Distributing associate Tiffany Hutto, who is a one-year breast cancer survivor says, “The campaign means everything to me. If my story inspires one woman to get a mammogram, it brings me hope.” Early detection saved Hutto’s life, and she shares, “The key to recovery is support. When I was going through my treatment, my co-workers shaved their heads to show their love and support. That meant the world.”

“Cancer makes you think about how much time you have left and what you want to do with it. Don’t dream it’s over. Don’t you dare!” says Andrea Adair, who is a Hungry Howie’s associate and a two-time breast cancer survivor. Adair volunteers extensively and will be featured in a book about Bodies of Courage. She is passionate about sharing her story of early detection and post-mastectomy options and participates in numerous breast cancer causes including Love, Hope & Pizza.

During the month of October, Hungry Howie's goes pink with large pizzas being served in pink boxes. For every large pizza purchase, Hungry Howie's will make a donation to NBCF. You may also purchase $1 Love, Hope & Pizza wristbands with 100% of proceeds going to NBCF.

“Women affected by breast cancer are our mothers, daughters, sisters, co-workers and customers. It is inspiring to hear the stories of women, who have turned their breast cancer experiences into a positive mission to educate and support others and their loved ones. We are honored to partner with NBCF and passionately support them,” shares Jennifer Hearn, President of Hungry Howie's Pizza Inc.
