Now Open: Dunedin Chefs Take Over Breakfast, Brunch at Beso Del Sol

Chefs John Lewis and Debbie Mcgriffin took over breakfast and Sunday brunch services at Beso Del Sol and the Marker 8 Tiki Bar on Friday.

Breakfast and brunch are now served. Dunedin chefs Debbie Mcgriffin and John Lewis opened for breakfast and brunch services at Beso Del Sol Resort and food at Marker 8 Tiki Bar. The culinary duo also said that their new space in the venue room at Beso Del Sol allows them to offer catering for private events, such as wedding receptions, parties or special occassions for up to 100 people. John Lewis reported that they'd be brining back some signature dishes from their former downtown restaurant La Maison Gourmet (once at 471 Main Street, where The Dunedin Smokehouse now serves), as well as introducing some new ones. Breakfast services are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday brunch is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. What's on the menu? …

5 Things to Know Today: Tuesday, May 15

Bet you'd like to know who makes the best chili in town! (Plus, we've got some great things on tap for parents and kids.)

1) The lowest reported gas price in Dunedin is$3.43 at the Rally Market & Gas, 1621 Main Street, according to TampaGasPrices.com. 2) You may see some morning showers, but otherwise, it should be partly sunny with a high of 85. Tonight's low is 72, according to the National Weather Service.  3) Chef John Lewis took first place out of 15 entrants over the weekend at Dunedin House of Beer's Chili Cook-off! The winning recipe was for his delicious "Texas Red." Yum! 4) Now that's it's Tuesday, it's time to start getting excited for Dunedin's first Rubber Duck Derby Saturday at Weaver Park! This Dunedin Historical Museum event is perfect for the kids (ahem, or the kid in all of us)! Sponsor a rubber duck and watch it float to shore from the pier…
