No Solid Waste Pickup on Christmas, New Year's Day
Solid Waste collection services will resume on the Wednesday following the Christmas and New Year holidays. Christmas trees will be collected for recycling between Dec. 26 and Jan. 6.
Your garbage will have to wait. The city solid waste department will be enjoying a day off for the Christmas and New Year's holidays on Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, according to city officials. Those residents who normally receive collection on Tuesdays may instead leave their postponed garbage, recyclables, bulk or yard waste at the curb for pickup on the following Wednesday, Dec. 26 or Jan. 2. Christmas Tree Recycling To ensure your tree is recycled into mulch, residents may leave them out on a regularly scheduled bulk and yard waste collection day between Dec. 26 and Jan. 6.
