Protect Your Plants From Frigid Temps

Below freezing temperatures are expected tonight.

Dunedin is expected to reach excessively cold temperatures tonight. The National Weather Service issued a hard freeze warning from midnight to 9 a.m. Temperatures may drop to as low as 28 degrees. Folks are urged to cover cold-sensitive plants and make sure to bring their pets indoors. If you suspect you have cold-sensitive outdoor plants, Pinellas County's urban horticulture extension agency offers an informative blog on how to identify and care for them. Also in effect for the area are a red flag warning, a wind chill advisory and a hazardous weather outlook, according to the National Weather Service.
