I fully agree with the above comments. I'm an avid rider on the trail and never assume a vehicle is going to stop and as a car driver crossing the trail, I never assume a bicyclist is going to stop. Eye contact between car driver and bike rider is essential to negotiating who stops and who waits. My experience is that 99% of car drivers yield to the cyclist.
