Since we told you in December about potential land use and zoning changes that would allow for an incoming discount retail chain, Patch readers have had plenty to say on the topic. Our lastest story on the topic, Dollar General One Step Closer to San Christopher, received lots of discussion. Here's what some Dunedin Patch readers had to say: Hannah Andrews: "Good enough. Do a web search on Dollar General and see the effects that their openings have on surrounding neighborhoods. Also see how they come in NOT selling alcohol and tobacco products and about 6 months after they are open and the (negative) hoop-la about their opening has somewhat subsided; they (Dollar General) apply for and receive licenses to sell those products.
