Dunedin High Schools' Scottish Highlander Band was recently awarded a prestigious Mickey Mouse trophy for being one of two bands in the country to march in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Principal Reuben Hepburn presented the band director, Ian Black, with the Mickey Mouse trophy during an ceremony at Dunedin High School on Dec. 13. Watch the Highlanders in the Disney Parks Christmas Day parade on ABC Dec. 25 at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Disney judges were impressed with the Scottish Highlanders even though the band of 70 to 80 students was smaller than many other marching bands.
