Dunedin Orange Festival: Share Your Photos, Videos

The Third Annual Dunedin Orange Festival was a blast. Share your memories with us.

Folks from all over turned out for the Third Annual Dunedin Orange Festival, which celebrates Dunedin's orange harvesting heritage. Among all the festivities, the Mojo Cook-Off put many area restaurants in a fierce competition that left returning champions Sea Sea Riders Restaurant the victor. Sunday also happened to be the restaurant's 24th anniversary.  Share your photos and videos from the Dunedin Orange Festival with us by clicking "Upload Photos and Videos" button above, or e-mail you photos and videos to carlos.hernandez@patch.com.

Orange Festival Scavenger Hunt Begins

Hunt down the QR codes at participating businesses for clues that can win you an iPad at the Dunedin Orange Festival in July.

It's like an Easter egg hunt, except it's for Steve Spathelf's painted oranges. The third annual Dunedin Orange Festival — complete with an Orange Queen pageant, a mojo cookoff and other activities — isn't for another month, but Sunday, June 10, kicks off the QR code scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunt participants are entered to win an iPad. To get in on the action, scan the QR code at each participating business for a clue to the location of a painted orange in town. Then enter the address of the orange on your hunt sheet (next to the corresponding number) by the July 2 deadline.  The winner will be drawn at random on the day of the Orange Festival (July 7) at Edgewater Park. For more information, visit the Dunedin Orange Festival website. …
