Romney 'Won By a Landslide,' Local Debate Watchers Say
A crowd of roughly 75 people cheered, chanted and prayed for Gov. Mitt Romney at Fat Cat Tavern in Clearwater on Wednesday night; most believed he handily won the first debate with President Barack Obama.
A crowd of spirited and confident Mitt Romney supporters packed a back room at Fat Cat Tavern in Clearwater on Wednesday night to show solidarity and support for their candidate. The debate watch party was officially sponsored by the Republican National Committee and was hosted by the Republican Party of Pinellas County, and people came from all over to see how Romney would fare in his first presidential debate of the campaign. And when the cheering stopped, everyone in the room agreed the Republican nominee had not only won, but won by a landslide. “It was absolutely fantastic.
